About Us
Black Heart Music Studio is a small recording, live sound, music studio aimed at serving you. Our goal is to get your music sounding the way you hear it in your head. Black Heart is owned and operated by Ryan Anderson, with help from friends and family. Ryan is the engineer and the main person you will work with during your project.
Ryan Anderson
Ryan Anderson is the main engineer at Black Heart. He has an Associate’s degree in sound technology, with certifications from South Plains College in Live Sound Reinforcement, Enhanced Skills in Sound technology, and Pro Tools User certifications through Avid.
Ryan has been working in the audio industry for a decade in live sound, studio mixing, television broadcast, church audio, and general production. His experience in multiple applications of production reflect in his passion for music and performance.
His favorite genre is metal. Metallica is is favorite band and where he gains inspiration from. Other artists that he admires are Nickel Creek (contemporary bluegrass), Eric Clapton, The Punch Brothers, Psychedelic Porn Crumpits, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Iron Maiden, and many more.

The main reason is that music is my passion. Music is the driving force in my life and what keeps me and many others going. I fell in love with engineering early in my career and knew that this was something I wanted to do for a very long time. I also had this mission of helping artists out in the recording process. I hate seeing other studios overcharge their customers for sub-par products, and I hate even more seeing studios and producers take ideas away from the artist, then at the end you don’t even recognize your own song anymore. I created Black Heart to be the ultimate studio for the artist and I get to be apart of that journey.

We believe our rates are very competitive. While we do not post our rates online, a simple email inquiry will get you specific rates for your project. This is simply to avoid confusion for specific cases that may require more or less services, thus changing the rate. We still desire to be completely transparent about our rates and cost up front.

Booking with us gives peace of mind. Black Heart does everything we can to record the best quality audio that we are capable of, and giving you an outstanding mix in a reasonable timeframe. Our goal is make the process as smooth as possible for the artist, without fear of your creativity being taken away from you.
